Highly regarded across the industry, Consult Australia’s FutureNet Business Leaders Course is now in its tenth year, with its alumni sought-after by employers and clients alike.

Through sixteen sessions delivered over eight months, this annual Course is tailored to build on existing personal strengths, develop new skills, and broaden industry networks.

Combined with a multi-disciplinary team project, the Course provides a once-in-a-career opportunity for participating young professionals to be part of the next generation of industry leaders. Course participants:

  • Develop leadership, management, and collaboration skills

  • Gain a fresh perspective on workplace and industry challenges

  • Access the latest industry thinking, knowledge and insights

  • Create a career-long network of cross-industry relationships

  • Leverage unique mentoring opportunities

The Course targets built and natural environment professionals with 5 to 10 years of industry experience, who are highly valued by their employees and looking to take the next step in their career. It is an opportunity to reward and support your best employees; those seen as future leaders of their firms and industry.

To ensure maximum value, participation is strictly limited and attendance forms part of completion requirements.

Whether you are a talented professional looking to take your business leadership skills to the next level, or a firm looking to recognise and develop a potential leader within your firm, the Course is a career-building opportunity.

Manager’s Note:

For participants to make the most from this Course, it does require a time commitment and support from their firms. Managers are provided a complimentary ticket to the Awards Night and are encouraged to attend to support their nominee.

The Project

Course participants complete a multi-disciplinary team project supported by an accomplished industry mentor. The project takes participants out of their comfort-zone, and puts into practice the skills and knowledge developed through the course.

Winning project teams are selected based on both a public vote and their presentations to a judging panel.

Time Commitment

In 2017 the Course will begin on Thursday 9 March, with fortnightly sessions until the award night on Thursday 5 October.

Participants will be expected to make time outside of the sessions to work on the project element of the Course.
