Resolving Conflict Professional Development Workshop

Things don’t always go smoothly at work with people; those around you, in your team, your boss, critical stakeholders like customers/clients, suppliers and regulators. Through our natural course of living each day we make choices and decisions; and because of these, we experience a difference of opinion, different priorities, different needs and different expectations with other people. These differences ARE conflict.

We all need to expect conflict will happen, build emotional resilience and then embrace the conflict in order to resolve and handle it brilliantly. Always remember why conflict is such a remarkable business performance tool - it is a process that produces something of great beauty – and just like the pearl – it is the result of great irritation.

This one day workshop is aimed at business leaders who want to challenge the way they think, feel and act when confronted with a situation of conflict.

Expected workshop outcomes
At the end of the one-day workshop participants are able to:

 •        Define and appreciate the importance of conflict when managing
          and leading others
•         Recognise the difference between conflict that is ignited and
          conflict that erupts
•         Build emotional resilience at a highly personal level
•         Describe the five different ways we respond to conflict
•         Use an approach to enable collaborative resolution of conflict
•         Discover the value of engaging in challenging conversations to
          ignite constructive conflict.
